Dollar 8

Today I sort of chickened out. I had client appointments all morning and I have decided to not intrude on my clients' sessions with my dollar agenda. So the third person who said "Hi" to me was at Charleston Rotary. This is a meeting of about 100 mostly white business men in suits. Ghosts of my father came up immediately and the way he would be so disappointed that I did not make more of my life.

So I punted (rather than just go for it!), and held on to the dollar until I got home. I gave it to my mother-in-law, who was drawing at the time. She laughed and laughed when I gave it to her. I'm glad for the choice today, her laughter was lovely - a real gift.

The experience today points to some unfinished business that will be good for me to take care of. On another Monday I will tackle my suited businessmen fears!
